Chief Steward

Key Responsibilities:

•Supervise, train, and coordinate all Cleaning and Stewarding Staff to ensure proper performance and compliance with procedures

•Prepare weekly schedules for stewarding staff in coordination with the Executive Chef

•Ensure all kitchen, bar, and F&B areas, including equipment and utensils, are cleaned and maintained according to hygiene standards

•Monitor the proper usage, storage, and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment

•Inspect all stewarding and cleaning activities regularly and report any issues or hazards to the Executive Chef

•Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, and performance review of stewarding staff

•Implement and maintain quality systems, procedures, and departmental standards

•Maintain personal hygiene, professional appearance, and adherence to Health & Safety regulations

•Implement GDPR requirements to protect the personal data of guests and staff

•Follow all procedures for reporting accidents or incidents involving guests or employees

•Perform any other duties assigned by management related to stewarding, cleaning, or F&B operations

Skills & Qualifications:

•Previous experience in a similar stewarding or cleaning supervisory role

•Health & Safety and HACCP certification

•Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills

•Ability to train and supervise staff effectively

•Professional attitude, punctuality, and dedication to maintaining hygiene standards

•Familiarity with kitchen operations and F&B support services is an advantage
