Senior cook

Prepare and cook menu items following recipes, portion control, and presentation standards. Maintain high levels of personal hygiene, appearance, and workplace safety. Replace or assist other cooks during emergencies, rush periods, or absence of higher-ranking staff. Prepare mise-en-place for assigned stations. Measure, weigh, and mix ingredients accurately. Wash, cut, and prepare vegetables, meats, and other ingredients for cooking. Prepare cold dishes, hors d'oeuvres, salads, soups, and other items as assigned or trained. Pre-cook or partially prepare items for later service. Monitor ingredient levels and report shortages or quality issues. Clean and organize food preparation areas and storage areas.

Required: Diploma in Food Production from Hotel School or equivalent experience. Strong knowledge of Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, and HACCP standards. Previous experience in similar cooking position within hotel or hospitality environment. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and assist in all kitchen stations. Strong teamwork, communication, and cooperation skills. Ability to maintain consistency, quality, and presentation standards.
