Chief Operating Officer (COO)

On behalf of our client, a leading luxury retail company based in Limassol, we are seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee day-to-day operations, drive business performance and support the company’s strategic growth. The ideal candidate will bring strong retail operations experience, proven leadership skills and a solid track record in improving operational efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

•Oversee the company’s day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient, seamless and consistent execution across all business functions and retail operations.

•Develop and implement operational strategies to support business growth, profitability and long-term objectives.

•Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), operational performance and financial results, identifying opportunities for improvement.

•Oversee retail operations and ensure high standards of customer experience, service, store presentation and operational excellence.

•Lead and support operational teams, fostering accountability, collaboration and a high-performance culture.

•Develop and manage operational budgets, monitor costs and resources, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and maximise profitability and return on investment.

•Work closely with the Directors to translate business strategy into effective operational plans and measurable results.

•Oversee key relationships with suppliers, service providers and other strategic partners.

•Identify and mitigate operational risks while ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and applicable requirements.

•Lead and support strategic projects including new store openings, renovations, relocations and business expansion initiatives.

•Provide regular reports, analysis and recommendations to Directors regarding operational performance, business risks, opportunities and strategic initiatives.

•Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, excellence and continuous improvement, aligned with the standards and values of a luxury retail environment.

Requirements

•Minimum 8–10+ years of proven experience in retail operations, with at least 3–5 years in a senior management or leadership role.

•Previous experience as a COO, Operations Director, General Manager, or in a similar senior operational position.

•Experience in luxury or premium retail is highly desirable.

•Strong experience with budgets, KPIs, profitability and cost management.

•Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to manage multiple teams and operational functions.

•Strong strategic thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills.

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and Greek.
