Linen Keeper

**Job Summary:**

Responsible for the coordination and management of the hotel's linen room, including staff uniforms, guest laundry, contractor laundry, and in-house laundry. Ensures all linens are handled according to hotel procedures, maintaining high standards of hygiene and quality.

**Key Responsibilities:**

•Receive dirty laundry, including linens, towels, and staff uniforms; separate, count, and prepare for washing

•Operate professional laundry equipment, including washing, drying, and ironing (cylinder) machines, following hotel procedures

•Receive guests' personal laundry and ensure timely delivery to rooms; address and resolve any laundry-related complaints

•Perform emergency sewing or ironing of guest items when required

•Repair or repurpose damaged linen (e.g., convert into dusters) after consultation with the Supervisor

•Properly store and organize clean linens on shelves, labeled by type, and conduct stock-taking as requested

•Supply clean linens to chambermaids daily according to their needs

•Monitor linen quality and communicate any issues to the Supervisor

•Prepare and fold bathrobes and slippers for guest rooms

•Deliver dining linens carefully and record their distribution and receipt

•Ensure adherence to Health & Safety regulations in all laundry operations

•Implement GDPR requirements for the protection of personal data handled in laundry operations

•Follow procedures for reporting any accidents involving guests or staff

•Perform any other duties assigned by management related to the department

**Skills & Qualifications:**

•Knowledge of Greek or English language

•Pleasant, professional, and reliable personality

•Minimum 6 months of experience in a similar housekeeping or laundry role

•Ability to operate laundry equipment and handle laundry chemicals safely

•Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a high level of cleanliness

•Familiarity with hotel hygiene, safety, and operational standards
