Senior Waiter

The Senior Waiter provides fast, courteous, and professional service to guests, promotes food and beverage sales, supervises junior staff, and assists the restaurant management in maintaining service quality standards.

•Support the Assistant Restaurant Manager in the smooth running of the restaurant section.

•Deliver excellent standards of service in a friendly and professional manner.

•Welcome and greet all guests and visitors to the restaurant and hotel.

•Take orders, serve food and beverages, and supervise proper execution of service by subordinates.

•Ensure tables are clean, seats wiped, tablecloths replaced, and tables set according to hotel standards.

•Collect and return dishes and tableware to kitchens for cleaning.

•Handle guest inquiries, questions, and minor complaints with courtesy; escalate serious incidents to the Head Waiter or Manager.

•Maintain all working areas and utensils clean and organized before, during, and after service.

•Present menus to guests, explain menu content and beverages, including wine, in a professional manner.

•Promote sales of food and beverages when appropriate.

Skills & Qualifications: Good command of Greek and English; additional languages are an advantage. Previous experience as a Senior Waiter or in a similar role in a hotel or restaurant environment. Excellent knowledge of food and beverage service standards. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to supervise and train junior staff. Professional, polite, and service-minded personality.
