Bar Waiter

**Job Summary:**

Provides fast, friendly, and professional service to guests while promoting beverages, cocktails, and special offers. Supports the Head Barman in the smooth operation of the bar and ensures all service standards, hygiene, and safety regulations are maintained.

**Key Responsibilities:**

•Deliver courteous, professional, and efficient service to all bar guests

•Maintain cleanliness and order in the bar area throughout service

•Ensure that "mise-en-place" is completed prior to each service

•Stock refrigerators and storage units with wines, beers, and beverages; replace empty kegs as needed

•Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the bar menu, beverages, and pricing; advise guests as necessary

•Take guest orders, serve beverages promptly, and handle payment transactions accurately

•Promote sales of beverages, food, and special events organized by hotel management

•Address and resolve minor guest complaints or escalate to the Head Barman as required

•Maintain knowledge of local attractions, events, and points of interest to assist guests

•Check the bar post for cleanliness, safety, and maintenance before and after shifts

•Report any damage or operational issues and suggest improvements to the Head Barman

•Comply with all Hotel Health & Safety rules and regulations

•Implement GDPR requirements for protection of personal data related to guest interactions

•Follow procedures for reporting accidents involving guests or staff

•Perform any other duties assigned by management related to the department

**Skills & Qualifications:**

•Good command of Greek and English

•Prior experience as a Bar Waiter/Waitress in a hotel or restaurant environment

•Knowledge of beverages, cocktails, and food pairing

•Attention to detail, organizational skills, and professional presentation

•Pleasant and approachable personality with excellent interpersonal skills

•Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
