Thirteenth salary

Many employers pay a 13th salary in December, but the law does not require it. Check your contract.

Moving here on a high salary

If you earn over €55,000 a year and were not resident in Cyprus in the 15 years before, half of your employment income may be exempt from tax for up to 17 years. Ask the Tax Department whether you qualify.
